When Gavin Newsom, now the governor of California, and Kimberly Guilfoyle bought divorced in 2005 after a number of years of marriage, they issued a press release explaining why they had been splitting up: “Sadly, the calls for of our respective careers have made it too tough for us to proceed as a married couple,” per Newsweek.
